here very first foldable smartphone is here! A Silicon Valley-based firm has released the first ever-futuristic smartphone that can fold up. The smartphone, called the FlexPai, was developed by Royole and has a super flexible screen that can be bent directly from the middle.
According to Daily Mail, the smartphone itself measures at a thickness of just 7.6 mm and includes a dual-camera handset. The FlexPai was first launched in China this past week and is now available for pre-order online. The phone’s 7.8-inch screen can be bent from both the front and backsides and provides a total of three display screens for the user. In addition to its triple display screens, the spine of the handset will also transform into a third smaller screen that can allow the user to see any incoming calls, messages, emails, and notifications alike when they are received.
The smartphone is set to retail for $1,300 to $1,800 depending on whether you are ordering a consumer model or a developer model. The price for this foldable smartphone is by no means cheap, however, if you are a tech junkie dying to get your hands on this first ever-futuristic handset, then it just might be worth it. The FlexPai comes in both a 128 GB and 256 GB edition and weighs at 320g with two cameras at the top.
