Game of Thrones is one of the popular fantasy drama series which became a rage on the internet. Each of its seasons was a huge hit and viewers went all crazy the way the series was directed. It was a visual cinematic experience with such good visual effects.
After the blockbuster seven seasons, the makers are all set for its final season which will be airing next year. The anticipation for the series is growing with every passing day and fans can’t just wait for the final one to start. There are a lot of speculations as to who will be sitting on the Iron Throne in the climax.
However, with so much of anticipation, the makers say that Game of Thrones season 8 will be worth a wait.
David Benioff and Dan Weiss explain why it is taking so much of time for the season 8 to air. They said that they are doing the biggest thing they have ever done.
As per the reports, the last season of the Game of Thrones had just six episodes, but they will soon reveal how many episodes will the final season have.
Benioff told during his media interaction, “The final season’s taking a long time because it’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done. It was nearly a full year in Belfast either prepping it or actually shooting it. I think when people see it they’re going to understand why it took so long. The last season is far beyond what we’ve ever attempted before.”
Game of Thrones bagged its third Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series Monday after winning in 2015 and 2016. The show won a total of nine trophies, the highest, at the award ceremony, including a third win for Peter Dinklage in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
“There was a period like five years ago when they were saying seven seasons and I was saying 10 seasons and they won, they’re the ones actually working on it,” said Martin.
The show is expected to premiere in the first half of next year.
