Laolu Sebanjo Created Sacred Yoruba Ritual in Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ Album

If you’ve still not heard Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album, we have one question for you!

“What are you doing with the lemons life threw at you?”

Beyoncé released her sixth studio album titled ‘Lemonade’ and the album has 12 tracks with collaborations from The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White and James Blake.

Now, working with her on the visuals to the album was Nigeria’s Laolu Sebanjo who introduced a sacred Yoruba ritual called ‘Ori’ to the album. We remember Laolu as the artist whose work of art, Afromysterics has moved from canvas to virtually everywhere: from shoes to jackets and the human body.
