It has been reported that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was suffering from lung ailment. Due to severe pain, he was brought to KRL Hospital at around 6 am today where doctors tried their best to save the nuclear scientist but he could not recover. He died at 4 o’clock.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, the creator of the Pakistani atomic bomb, was born in Bhopal, India in 1936. After the formation of Pakistan, he moved to Karachi in 1952, from where Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan obtained a degree in Metallurgy from Karachi University in 1960, after which he moved to Germany. He also received higher education from the Netherlands and obtained a master’s degree in metallurgy from the Netherlands in 1967 and a PhD from Belgium in 1972. He returned to Pakistan in 1976 after studying at the University of Leuven in Belgium. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Participated in the Pakistani nuclear program of ‘Engineering Research Laboratories’ at the invitation of Pakistan. Later, the name of this institute was changed by the President of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq on May 1, 1981 to Dr. AQ Khan Research Laboratories. Prominent in enrichment, Abdul Qadir Khan is a renowned scientist who, in a very short span of 8 years, worked tirelessly and diligently to set up a nuclear plant to the amazement of world renowned Nobel Prize winning scientists, May 1998. Mohsin Pakistan Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan founded a seminary called Kixit in November 2000. He was given the title of Mohsin Pakistan for his outstanding services to the country.
